How To Get Here?

After flying to Bangkok, you have several options of how to get to our camp. We know that there is a lot of confusing information available online, so we have created a simple guide.

By Air

Several daily flights are available from Bangkok to Surat Thani - our nearest mainland airport - and Koh Samui, our nearest island airport.

Koh Samui airport is very attractive, and very close to Koh Phangan, but flights arriving here tend to be more expensive.

If flying to Surat Thani:

A regular, cheap shuttle bus is available from the airport to the ferry port. You can buy combined bus & ferry tickets on the spot.

At the pier, you can board a ferry run by Raja Ferries to take you to Koh Phangan. The ferries leave Donsak at:

6am
8am
10am
2pm
4pm
6pm

The journey takes 2.5hrs.

If you need to stay the night in Surat Thani before getting a ferry, there is a shuttle bus as well as taxis available to take you from the airport to the town.

If flying to Koh Samui:

Check the timetables of Lomprayah and Songserm to see which company has a ferry leaving for Koh Phangan close to your arrival time. Purchase your ticket online to be on the safe side, and take note of which pier your ferry leaves from.

On arrival at Koh Samui, take a taxi or a bike taxi to the appropriate pier.

On arrival in Koh Phangan, hop on a collective taxi or a bike taxi for the short trip to Diamond Muay Thai.

By Bus

Several bus companies such as Lomprayah and Songserm operate combined overnight bus and ferry trips from the Khao San Road in Bangkok to Koh Phangan. Book your ticket from their websites or through 12go.asia, turn up at their office at departure time and they will bring you all the way here.

There are usually plenty of tickets available at short notice, but it is always a good idea to book in advance once you know your plans.

Travelling by bus is a good option for students who wish to explore Bangkok before heading to Koh Phangan.

By Train

Some students enjoy the adventure of taking a train through Thailand. There are overnight trains as well as regular trains.

www.thairailticket.com is the national website for train ticket bookings. You can book and print your ticket at home. Tickets are available 60 days in advance of booking.

Take the train from Hua Lamphong station in Bangkok to Surat Thani, and then a shuttle bus to the ferry port. There are regular shuttle buses and you can buy tickets on the spot.
